Shueisha has announced that Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter X Hunter manga will return in the 45th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, set to release on October 7. However, the manga will no longer adhere to a weekly serialization format.
The series has been on hiatus since January 2023 due to the author's health issues. After consulting with Togashi, Shueisha decided that the manga would not continue with its previous weekly schedule.
Fans can also look forward to the manga's 38th compiled volume, which will be available on September 4. Togashi has been sharing updates on future chapters via social media, hinting at progress on chapters 401 and 405.
The manga's 37th volume, released in November 2022, marked its first volume in four years. Viz Media published this volume in English last October.
Hunter X Hunter had numerous adaptations, including two television anime series, two anime films, several original video animations (OVAs), and stage plays.
In addition to the manga's return, a new 2D 3v3 fighting game titled Hunter X Hunter Nen x Impact is set to be released later this year by Bushiroad Games and Eighting. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
