The main cast for the live-action adaptation of Akane Shimizu's "Cells at Work" (Hataraku saibou) has been revealed. Alongside this announcement, a special teaser showcasing the movie's perspective has been released. The live-action film is scheduled to premiere in Japan this December.
Mei Nagano will portray the Red Blood Cell, while Takeru Satō will take on the role of the White Blood Cell.

The original manga's first television anime adaptation premiered in July 2018, followed by a second season in January 2021. Akane Shimizu launched the original "Cells at Work!" manga in the March 2015 issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine and concluded it in January 2021.
