During the Aniplex Online Fest stream on Monday, Aniplex announced that CloverWorks will adapt The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku), a romance manga by Saka Mikami, into a TV anime. The series is set to premiere in 2025.

To celebrate the announcement, Mikami shared an illustration, which was posted on the anime’s official X/Twitter account.

Kodansha USA Publishing, which is releasing the manga in English, describes the story as follows:

At Chidori High, a school notorious for its troubled students, second-year student Rintaro—known for his intimidating appearance but kind heart—helps out at his family's bakery. One day, he meets a girl named Kaoruko, and the two instantly connect. However, Rintaro soon discovers that Kaoruko is from Kikyo Girls' High, an elite school for daughters of wealthy families, and neither of them fully grasps the problems this could cause. Can they navigate the challenges and avoid the traps set by their classmates?

Mikami began the series on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website in October 2021, and the 13th volume was published on July 9. The second English volume was released by Kodansha USA on August 6.
