My Dress up Darling - Marin Thank you pose figure soon to be released

Good Smile Company has unveiled a striking new Marin Kitagawa figure, paying homage to a famous scene from the beloved My Dress-Up Darling anime series.

Available now for pre-order, the 1/7 scale figure beautifully recreates Marin's appearance from a memorable episode titled "Then Why Don't We?" Marin and Wakana's cosplay material shopping spree comes to life in this intricately detailed figure, priced at ¥16,800.

It is the exact moment when she says “五条くんがいてくれて、マジよかった。サンキュ!”, which means “I'm really glad Gojo-kun was there. Thank you!” With Marin's playful pose and endearing smile, fans can relive the magic of the third episode through this stunning collectible. Notable details include Marin's curly hair, a departure from her usual straight style, and a base resembling city pavement, adding depth to the figure's presentation.

Adapted from Shinichi Fukuda's manga, My Dress-Up Darling follows Wakana Gojo, a high school student hiding his talent for crafting Hina dolls. Marin Kitagawa, a charismatic classmate, discovers Wakana's secret and collaborates with him to design anime cosplay costumes. Their partnership not only nurtures their skills but also strengthens their bond.

Season 1, Episode 3 of My Dress-Up Darling sees Marin and Wakana's budding collaboration as they embark on creating a cosplay outfit for Shizuku Kuroe-tan from the game "Slippery Girls 2." The episode captures Marin's infectious passion and Wakana's newfound enthusiasm, as they immerse themselves in the world of cosplay.

While fans eagerly await the release of Season 2, announced in September 2022, the exact premiere date remains undisclosed. Speculation suggests the delay may stem from the anime's desire to align with the manga's progression, which now spans 12 volumes.

In light of this anticipation, the unveiling of the Marin Kitagawa figure serves as a delightful reminder of the series' enduring charm. Available for pre-order on Good Smile Company's online platform, it offers enthusiasts an opportunity to bring a piece of My Dress-Up Darling into their collections, immortalising a cherished moment in anime history.
