Set in Hyogo and Osaka, the story introduces an all-new narrative centered on two prestigious schools: Takizakura Girls Academy in Osaka, renowned for its school idol club, and Tsubakisakuhana Girls High School in Hyogo, known for its academic excellence. The rivalry between these two schools is fueled by the daughters of their chairpersons, who lead their respective idol clubs.

The stage musical premiered at the New National Theatre in Tokyo in December 2022, followed by performances in Osaka, Tokyo, and more scheduled in 2025.

In addition to this new series, the Love Live! franchise continues to expand with the release of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club's first film on September 6 and the third season of Love Live! Superstar!!, premiering on October 6.
