DanMachi V title revealed, set to air in 2024 fall

Warner Bros. Japan has recently unveiled exciting news for fans of the hit anime series "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka). The upcoming fifth season, titled "Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka V: Hōjō no Megami-hen" (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V: Goddess of the Harvest Arc), is set to premiere in the fall of 2024.

Accompanying this announcement are fresh character visuals for beloved figures such as Bell, Hestia, and Syr.

Warner Bros. Japan also revealed that the book franchise, comprising novels and manga, has amassed an impressive circulation of 17 million copies worldwide, showcasing its enduring popularity.

Returning to helm the fifth season is director Hideki Tachibana from studio J.C. Staff, along with series composition writers Fujino Ōmori and Hideki Shirane, character designer Shigeki Kimoto, composer Keiji Inai, and other key staff members.

The anime will see the return of its talented cast, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Bell Cranell, Inori Minase as Hestia, and Shizuka Ishigami as Syr Flover, among others.

The "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" series has had a successful run since its first season premiered in April 2015, followed by subsequent seasons in 2019 and 2020. The fourth season aired in two parts in 2022 and 2023, with the anime also spawning OVAs, a film titled "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion," and the spinoff series “Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side.”

The anticipation is high as fans eagerly await the arrival of the fifth season, promising more adventures and excitement in the beloved fantasy world.
