Celebrating a decade since its debut, the beloved volleyball anime Haikyu!! is pulling out all the stops with a special anniversary project. This includes exclusive visuals, an exhibition, and more!
The project showcases key characters like Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama from Karasuno High, alongside their rivals from Nekoma High, Kenma Kozume, and Tetsuro Kuroo.
An exhibition is planned across Tokyo (July 13-August 4), Sendai (August 11-19), and Fukuoka (September 14-October 9), with additional cities to be announced soon.
Haruichi Furudate, the manga's creator, has unveiled a series of new school banners and logos, some never seen before in the manga. These designs will also feature in exclusive 10th-anniversary merchandise.
The project will culminate in 2025 with a special finale event, details of which are yet to be disclosed.
Haikyu!! is inspired by Haruichi Furudate’s popular volleyball manga, following the journey of Karasuno High School's boys' volleyball team. The TV anime premiered on April 6, 2014, and concluded its fourth season in 2020, leading to a series of compilation films. Two final anime films, starting with "Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump" released on February 16, 2024, will close the series.
Can we hope for the second and final movie to be released by the end of the project in 2025? We do not know yet, production schedules could be a little bit tight. But fans will surely be the centres of this final project of our favourite volleyball series.
