The Oshi no Ko anime is making waves with revival screenings and an early glimpse at its second season premiere.
Starting June 7, fans in Japan can catch the first 90-minute episode "Mother and Children" in theaters for two weeks, including a Dolby Cinema version. For those eager for season 2, advanced screenings are set to begin on June 30.
For fans outside of Japan, the anime will stream on TV starting on July 2024. Major stream sites are gearing up to stream the second season, scheduled for a July premiere.
This announcement coincides with the one-year anniversary of the first season, released in April last year.
A a reminder, Oshi no Ko season 2 was already confirmed multiple times since last years with teasers, art designs and cast reveals. The season will focus on the “Tokyo Blade” arc.
Taiki Himekawa was already confirmed as Blade and Yusuke Kobayashi as Monme.
The Oshi no Ko manga, created by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, has enjoyed immense popularity, winning awards and garnering over 3 million copies in circulation. Its success has led to adaptations in various media formats, including a live-action film and television series set to debut in winter 2024.
